Ingredients:
- 2 cups cranberries
- 2 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup crystallized ginger, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
In a medium saucepan, combine water, diced pears, and cranberries over medium heat
Cook for about 15 minutes, stirring periodically, or until the mixture thickens and the cranberries burst
Add the ground cinnamon, lemon juice, crystallized ginger, and granulated sugar
After a further 10 to 15 minutes, or until the mixture has the consistency of jam, lower the heat to low and simmer
Take it off the heat and allow it to cool a little
After transferring the conserve to sterile jars, seal them, and keep them chilled
