A tasty dessert with layers of soft white cake, rich vanilla pudding, and light Cool Whip, with fresh berries on top. Its easy to make these Cool Whip Cake Trifles, and theyre great for any event.
Ingredients:
- 1 box of white cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 container Cool Whip
- Fresh berries for garnish
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350F 175C and prepare the white cake mix according to package instructions, using water, vegetable oil, and eggs
Bake the cake in a 9x13 inch baking pan as directed on the package
Allow it to cool completely
In a bowl, prepare the instant vanilla pudding mix by whisking it with cold milk and vanilla extract
Let it set in the refrigerator until firm
Once the cake has cooled, cut it into small cubes
In serving glasses or bowls, layer the cake cubes, vanilla pudding, and Cool Whip, repeating until the glass is filled
Top each trifle with a dollop of Cool Whip and garnish with fresh berries
Refrigerate the trifles for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld
Serve chilled and enjoy
